Kuwaiti German Urology is proud to announce that Boston Scientific has designated our clinic a Rezūm™ Expert Center. We have held this designation since 2023.
What does the designation mean?
According to Boston Scientific, the designation recognizes experience with Rezūm Water Vapour Therapy for men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
What is BPH?
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that is common as men get older. An enlarged prostate can press on the urethra and cause urinary symptoms such as:
- Frequent urination, especially at night
- A weak or slow urine stream
- Difficulty starting to urinate
- The feeling that the bladder is not completely empty
- A sudden, urgent need to urinate
What is Rezūm Water Vapor Therapy?
Rezūm is a minimally invasive treatment for BPH. It uses water vapor (steam) to treat the excess prostate tissue that causes urinary symptoms. It is one of several treatment options for BPH, and the right choice depends on your symptoms, the size of your prostate and your overall health.
